Bishop Michael Curry elected Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church

Bishop Michael Curry was elected Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church this week at General Convention. Curry, 62, currently serves as Bishop of North Carolina and is a strong preacher. He follows Bishop Katherine Jefferts Schori.

The Presiding Bishop serves as spiritual and organization leader of The Episcopal Church in the U.S., and is first among equals for Episcopal bishops.

Please pray for Bishop Curry as he begins this large and complex ministry.
